O R D E R

The petitioner/husband in H.M.O.P.No.122 of 2023, on the file of the Family Court, Madurai, has filed the present Civil Revision Petition seeking expeditious disposal of his divorce petition. 1/4

2. According to the learned counsel appearing for the revision petitioner, the wife has not yet filed her counter for the past one year, even after the mediation has failed. He further submits that the case has been posted every three months, granting more time to the wife to file counter. He seeks expeditious disposal of the divorce petition on the ground that the wife is neither willing for reunion nor for divorce.

3. The Court which can take judicial notice of the fact that more than 4000 cases are pending before the Family Court, Madurai. In such circumstances, merely because the petitioner has approached this Court, he cannot seek expeditious disposal. However, considering the reason assigned by the petitioner herein that he has to approach the Family Court by filing advance petition, in case, if the Court is satisfied with the reasons assigned by the petitioner herein, the petition for divorce shall be disposed of, as expeditiously as possible.
