ORDER
The Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioners praying for a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to issue the proceedings under which the assignment patta No.1033 granted to the land situated in S.No.283/7 Pulichakulam Village, Seikalathur Group, Manamadurai Taluk, Sivagangai District measuring to an extent of 1 acre and 71 cents was cancelled, by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 03.07.2015.
2. Mr.S.Kumar, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent.
3. By consent, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
4.It is averred in the petition that the land measuring to an extent of 1 acre and 71 cents in S.No.283/7 situated at Pulichakulam Village, Seikalathur Group, Manamadurai Taluk, Sivagangai District, was in possession of one S.Narayanan, S/o.Sundaravelu Pillai and the Government granted him an assignment patta No.1033 for the above said land. Subsequently, the petitioner's father obtained a general power of attorney from the said S.Narayanan in respect of the said land. Subsequently, vide https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
document No.684/2000, the petitioner's father executed a sale deed in favour of the petitioners and from the said date onwards, the petitioners are in possession of the said land. But, all of a sudden, the respondent cancelled the above assignment patta without hearing the petitioners and further, the respondent has not communicated the proceedings under which the assignment patta granted to the vendor of the petitioners, was cancelled. Therefore, the petitioners have made a representation before the respondent on 03.07.2015 to issue the proceedings to the petitioners. But the same was not considered so far. Hence, the petitioners have come forward with the present Writ Petition for the above stated relief.

Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioners, without going into the merits of the averments made in the Writ Petition, this Court directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioners, dated 03.07.2015 and to pass appropriate orders with regard to issuance of the proceedings under which the assignment patta in No.1033 granted to the land situated in S.No.283/7 Pulichakulam Village, Seikalathur Group, Manamadurai Taluk, Sivagangai District measuring to an extent of 1 acre and 71 cents was cancelled, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs.
