Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to ensure the personal safety of the petitioner's life and liberty upon the petitioner's representation dated 05.06.2018 within a period stipulated by this Court.

ORDER
Heard Mr.K.Sivabalan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.M.Karuppasamy, learned Government Advocate, who takes notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.
2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the second respondent and other officials have illegally detained the petitioner and also foisted false complaint against the petitioner. Hence, he made a representation to the first respondent, the Chief Minister's Special Cell as well as Secretary to the Legal Aid Committee. But, so far, no order has been passed on the said representation. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

against the petitioner. Since the allegation of the petitioner is against the second respondent, it would be appropriate that the first respondent shall consider the petitioner's representation dated 05.06.2018.
4.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 05.06.2018, on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after giving due opportunity to the parties concerned. However, it is needless to point out that the petitioner shall enclose a copy of the said representation along with a copy of this order to the first respondent.
5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
