This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to take necessary steps to measure the land and fix the four boundaries bearing Patta no. 2815 in S.F.No.587/3 to an extent of to an extent of 1 acre 18 cents Bodinayakanur Village and Taluk, Theni District, belonging to the petitioner with necessary police protection and issue separate patta based on the petitioner's application dated 26.12.2022.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1 and 2, learned 2/5

Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the third respondent and the learned counsel for the respondents 4 to 7.

3. The petitioner has given a representation dated 26.12.2022 to the respondents 1 and 2 requesting measurement and survey of the aforementioned properties. However, no action has been taken on this representation, leading to the filing of the present writ petition.

4. Learned Government Advocate, appearing for respondents 1 and 2, submits that the petitioner's representation would be considered on merits and in accordance with law.

5. In view of the above submissions, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.12.2022 on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The representation shall be considered and disposed of after conducting an inquiry. The first respondent is directed to provide a reasonable opportunity during such inquiry to the petitioner 3/5

and to any others who may be affected by such decision. There shall be no order as to costs.
