Prayer :- Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing respondents 1 and 2 to permit the petitioner and five village people like Thanichiyam, Ayyankottai, Ayyanagoundampatti, Sembugudipatti, and Vadugapatti to conduct the festival without changes the customs, usage, heritage and culture of past 200 years in Anchukottai Arulmighu Sri Sastha Ayyanar Sri Santhanakaruppu Swamy Thirukovil in future based on his representation dated 14.03.2023.

ORDER
This writ petition is filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing respondents 1 and 2 to permit the petitioner and five village people like Thanichiyam, Ayyankottai, Ayyanagoundampatti, Sembugudipatti, and Vadugapatti to conduct the festival without changing the customs, usage, heritage and culture of past 200 years in Anchukottai Arulmighu Sri Sastha Ayyanar Sri Santhanakaruppu Swamy Thirukovil in future based on the petitioner's representation dated 14.03.2023.
2. It is seen that even as per the petitioner, the festival has already taken place in keeping with the custom and tradition.
3. The learned Special Government Pleader assures the Court that the Department will continue to follow the custom and tradition in future.
4. Considering the fact that the festival has already taken place in keeping with the custom and tradition and recording the assurance given by the learned Special Government Pleader, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
