ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by N. ANAND VENKATESH,J.) This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed by the husband of the detenue to produce the person or body of the detenue, by name Kiruthika, W/o.Muthukumar, aged 24 years and to set her at liberty.

2. We have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

3. The case of the petitioner is that he married the detenue on 18.05.2024 in a temple in the presence of their friends. Thereafter, there was a threat from the family members of the detenue. Hence, a complaint was given before the Tattarmadam Police Station, which was taken on file in C.S.R.No.336 of 2024. Thereafter, from December 2025, the whereabouts of the detenue could not be ascertained. Hence, a representation was made to respondents 1 and 2 on 27.01.2026. Since there was no progress in the

enquiry, the present petition has been filed before this Court.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submitted that based on the representation/complaint of the petitioner, an enquiry was conducted by the second respondent and it came to light that the detenue had married another person on 05.09.2024 and is presently living with him in Chennai.

5. In view of the above development, no further orders can be passed in this Habeas Corpus Petition. It is left open to the petitioner to work out his remedy in the manner known to law.

6. This Habeas Corpus Petition is disposed of with the above said liberty.
