ORDER

The Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking orders to quash the case in C.C.No.370 of 2016 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Karaikudi.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing on 07.12.2021, there was no representation for the petitioner. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submitted that the matter was referred to Lok Adalat and after recording compromise, the accused were ordered to be discharged on 14.09.2021. Considering the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), this Court directed the Registry to get a report from the learned Judicial Magistrate, Karaikudi, regarding the nature of the disposal of the case in C.C.No.370 of 2016. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

CRL.O.P.(MD).No.8045 of 2019 3.In pursuance of the said direction, the learned Principal District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Karaikudi has submitted a report dated 13.12.2021, stating that since the matter has been settled before the Lok Adalath held on 14.09.2021 and also the defacto complainant herself wanted the Court to accept the alteration report and to compound the offence, accepting the alteration report and also permitting the defacto-complainant to compound the offence under Section 320 Cr.P.C, the accused persons were discharged from the case under Section 320 Cr.P.C.

4. Recording the above submissions, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed as infructuous. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
