This Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 11.08.2015 seeking to issue free house site patta in Tiruparangundram Taluk and its surroundings Nilayoor, Srinivasa Colony and adjacent areas in Madurai District.

ORDER

The Writ Petition has been filed praying for a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 11.08.2015 seeking to issue free house site patta in Tiruparangundram Taluk and its surroundings Nilayoor, Srinivasa Colony and adjacent areas in Madurai District.

2. Mr.M.Murugan, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents.

3. By consent, this Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

4.In the affidavit it has been averred that the petitioner belongs to linguistic minority Hindu Sourashtra community. He is a Handloom Coolie Weaver. He is residing in a rental house and living in poverty. Hence, he has sent a representation, dated 11.08.2015 to the first respondent requesting him to allot free house site patta in Tirupparangundram Taluk and its surroundings Nilayoor, Srinivasa colony and adjacent areas in Madurai District. Though the first respondent had received the petitioner's representation, dated 11.08.2015, till date, the same was not considered. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with the present Writ Petition.

Considering the submission made on either side, this Court without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, directs the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 11.08.2015 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs.
