Mr.S.Arivalagan, learned Standing Counsel, takes notice for the respondent / Electricity Corporation.

2. With the consent of both sides, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent / Electricity Corporation.

4. The petitioner herein claims to have worked as a temporary employee in the respondent / Electricity Corporation from 01.06.2010 and has continued as such for fifteen years. However, in a dispute in connection with suicide of a co-employee on 17.08.2025, the petitioner was implicated in a

criminal case registered in Crime No.493 of 2025, on the file of Sivakasi Town Police Station and he was arrested in connection with the said criminal case. However, subsequently, he was enlarged on bail and thereafter, the petitioner claims to have approached the respondent / Electricity Corporation claiming reinstatement into service and for continuation of his services. He also claims to have submitted a representation dated 24.02.2026 to the respondents requesting them for the said reliefs. Under those circumstances, the petitioner has approached this Court by filing this writ petition complaining inaction on the part of the respondents on his representation and sought for appropriate directions to the respondents for consideration of his representation.

Mr.S.Arivalagan, learned Standing Counsel, appearing for the respondent / Electricity Corporation fairly submitted that the representation dated 24.02.2026 submitted by the petitioner would be considered by the first respondent on it's own merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible.

6. In the light of the above, without going into the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of directing the first respondent to

consider the representation dated 24.02.2026 submitted by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders thereon on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. 24.03.2026 NCC :
