ORDER
The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to conduct the land survey and to fix the four boundaries to the petitioner's land having an extent of 435 Sq.ft comprised in Natham Resurvey Nos.9/1M in patta No.67 situated at Senbiyanenthal Village, Madurai East Taluk, Madurai District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 02.03.2026.
2. The petitioner claims right over the property to an extent of 435 square feet comprised in Natham Resurvey No. 9/1M. The petitioner purchased the same through a registered sale deed dated 18.06.2025 in Document No. 1529 of 2023. Thereafter, the revenue records were mutated and Patta No. 67 was issued in the name of the petitioner. The petitioner submitted an online application dated 12.12.2025 and paid the requisite fees. Now, the petitioner is seeking to survey and the demarcate the property.

The first respondent is directed to survey and demarcate the property with the assistance of the second respondent, after issuing notice to the petitioner as well as to any other rival claimants, if any. If the first respondent requires police protection, the same may be granted by the jurisdictional police. The official respondents shall adhere to the following Standard Operating Procedures: 2/4
• The official respondents shall issue notice to the petitioner immediately reaching the spot where survey is to be conducted. The petitioner shall affix the signature by receiving the notice of survey. • After survey again the petitioner shall affix signature indicating that the survey was conducted to their satisfaction.
• If the petitioner is not satisfied, then also the petitioner shall affix signature indicating their dissatisfaction or with protest. The petitioner shall indicate that reason of their dissatisfaction or protest. The aforesaid procedure shall be strictly followed by the parties. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
