Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent to grant permission and accord protection for conducting the Kabadi Tournament scheduled on 30.06.2018 at 09.00 p.m., to 01.07.2018 at 09.00 a.m., for one day held in School ground, Palavoor, Tirunelveli District.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to grant permission and accord protection for conducting the Kabadi Tournament scheduled on 30.06.2018 at 09.00 p.m., to 01.07.2018 at 09.00 a.m., for one day held in School ground, Palavoor, Tirunelveli District.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner made a representation on 06.06.2018 for conducting Kabadi Tournament scheduled to be held from 30.06.2018 at 09.00 p.m., to 01.07.2018 at 09.00 a.m., in the School ground, Palavoor, Tirunelveli District. No action has been taken so far on the said representation of the petitioner and the same is https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

pending. Hence, the petitioner filed this present writ petition before this Court with the aforesaid prayer.

4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the official respondents would submit that the representation filed by the petitioner would be considered by the respondents in accordance with law.

5.By taking into consideration of the submissions made by the parties, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 06.06.2018 on merits and in accordance with law on or before 26.06.2018.

6.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
