ORDER
The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to quash the impugned orders dated 28.07.2023 in Pa.Mu.Pi4/21592/2019 and .11.2018 in Mu.Mu.A1/8699/2017 as illegal, and consequently direct the first respondent to issue patta in favour of the petitioner and the legal heirs of Late Maruthai Servai for S.No.125/1, T. Pudupatti Village, Thiruppathur Taluk, by restoring the status quo as per the Settlement A-Register entries.
2. The brief facts are that the petitioner's father owned property in Survey No.125/1 to an extent of 74 cents, which was never sold. However, under the guise of changing the patta for Survey Nos.125/3 and 125/4, Survey No.125/1 was wrongly included. The petitioner now seeks rectification of the mistake committed under the UDR Scheme.

3. The impugned order does not provide clarity with regard to Survey No. 125/1, which was not sold to alleged one V. Ganapathi. Hence, the impugned order is quashed. The respondents are directed to conduct an enquiry, after issuing notice to the petitioner as well as respondents 4 and 5, and thereafter pass appropriate orders within a period of five months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is allowed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 23.03.2026 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes jbr 3/4
