ORDER

This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner to issue a writ of Mandamus to direct the third and fourth respondents to implement the order passed by the first respondent in Na.Ka.A5/533/2014 dated 18.02.2014 for restoring the water service connection in Connection Nos.2/152 and 2/152-1 of the petitioner's house in N.Pudur, Manmangalam Taluk, Karur District.

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the first and third respondents, the learned counsel appearing for the second respondent and the learned counsel appearing for the fourth respondent. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

The grievance of the petitioner is that though the petitioner's representation dated 25.02.2013, to the first respondent seeking water connection to his premises, met with a positive result on 18.04.2013, by the Deputy Block Development Officer, the same has not been carried out by the fourth respondent herein. Thereafter, the petitioner submitted a representation before the District Collector on 27.01.2014, seeking water connection to his premises, upon which, the Block Development Officer has communicated the then President vide proceedings in ef.m5/533/2014 dated 18.02.2014, to provide water connection and report the same. As the same has not been compiled with by the fourth respondent till date, the petitioner filed this writ petition seeking water connection to his premises.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the respondents 1 to 3 are directed to consider the request of the petitioner for providing water connection to his premises dated 27.01.2014 and take a decision in line with the proceedings of the Block Development Officer in ef.m.5/533/2014 dated 18.02.2014, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. While considering the request of the petitioner, the other connections given to the nearest buildings shall also be taken into account.
