-------------------------------- While hearing the Cont.P.(MD)No.706 of 2022, before the Hon'ble Court on 20/06/2022, it is reported by the Additional Public Prosecutor that the Judicial Magistrate, Theni, vide order dt.15.06.2022 has returned the final report filed by the police. The Hon'ble High Court, in its order under reference cited, has directed to call for an Explanation from the learned Judicial Magistrate, Theni, as to why the final report was returned in violation of the mandates set out in Rule 25(b) of the Criminal Rules of Practice, 2019.

As directed, you, namely the Judicial Magistrate, Theni, is hereby required to submit your explanation as stated supra, to this Registry on or before 24/06/2022 as the matter stands posted on 27/06/2022.
