This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to learned District Munsif and Judicial Magistrate, Singampunari, Sivagangai District, to expedite the trial in C.C.No.32 of 2023 within a stipulated time limit.

2.The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that in view of the case pending against the petitioner, he is not able to go to abroad. 3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instruction from the respondent police submits that A-8 in this case is absconding and therefore, the case is pending for trial. He further submits that the case is posted for appearance of A-8 on 23.08.2024.

4.It appears that the petitioner is the first accused in this case. Considering the rival submissions made, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with a direction to the petitioner to give information regarding the whereabouts of A-8 to the Investigation Agency and he 2/4
