ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by R.SUBBIAH, J] The present Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed by the mother of the detenu, seeking a Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondents to produce the person or body of the petitioner's daughter namely, Besta Ramya, D/o.Baskaran, aged 30 years, before this Court and set her at liberty.

2.When the matter was taken up for consideration on 16.11.2017, this Court directed the detenu and the petitioner to appear before the Mediation and Conciliation Centre. Accordingly, they appeared before the Mediation Centre. Even in the Mediation Centre no amicable settlement was arrived at between the parties and the detenu refused to go along with the petitioner. Since, the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Mediation failed, the case has been listed before this Court today.

3.In view of the above, since the detenu is a major aged about 30 years and she is not in the illegal custody of anyone and the Mediation also could not succeed, in our considered view, nothing survives for adjudication in the Habeas Corpus Petition.
