Respondents in all petitions Common Prayer: These Writ Petitions are filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to fix the seniority on par with the 1st batch based on the marks secured by the respective petitioners in the police training college as per Rule by considering the representation of the petitioners dated 02.04.2018, 03.04.2018, 06.03.2018 and 06.03.2018 respectively, within a reasonable time. O R D E R
The prayer sought for in these writ petitions is for a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to fix the seniority on par with the 1st batch based on the marks secured by the respective petitioners in the police training college as per Rule by considering the representation of the petitioners dated 02.04.2018, 03.04.2018, 06.03.2018 and 06.03.2018 respectively, within a reasonable time.
2.Heard Mr.S.Sivakumar learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr.s.S.Srimathy, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that all these petitioners are Inspectors of Police and they have been denied promotion for long years as the seniority in respect of these petitioners have not been fixed properly. Therefore, in this regard, the petitioners have given representation individually on 02.04.2018, 03.04.2018, 06.03.2018 and 06.03.2018 respectively to the respondents and if the said representations are considered independently by the respondents and an order to that effect is passed, within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court, the petitioners would be satisfied. 4.I have heard the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, who would submit that the said representations filed individually by the respective petitioners would be considered on merits and in accordance with law and an order to that effect would be passed, within a time frame that may fixed by this Court.
5.Considering the said submissions made by both sides and also taking into account the limited scope of the writ petitions, this Court is inclined to pass the following order: "The second respondent is directed to consider the individual representations of the respective petitioners on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders thereon, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."
6.With the above direction, these writ petitions are disposed of. No costs.
