: Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus directing the third respondent to permit the petitioner to travel in the Mofussil Buses also with the 75% of the bus fare concession in the route of Thisayanvilai to Tirunelveli by making appropriate entry as 'Mofussil Bus" along with the Town bus entry in the renewal concession bus pass book of the petitioner based on the petitioner's representation dated 10.01.2015. *********** Mr.K.Sathiya Singh, learned Standing Counsel, takes notice for the respondents 1 to 3 and Mr.A.Muthukaruppan, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the fourth respondent. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for disposal at the stage of admission itself.

2. The petitioner seeks a Writ of Mandamus directing the third respondent to permit him to travel in the Mofussil Buses also with 75% of the bus fare concession in the route of Thisayanvilai to Tirunelveli, by making appropriate entry as 'Mofussil Bus" along with the Town bus entry in his renewal concession bus pass book, based on his representation dated 10.01.2015. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would only contend that as per the Government Order issued in G.O.Ms.No.153, Social and Noon Meal Department, dated 29.10.2008, the petitioner, being a differently abled person, is entitled to travel both in the Town Buses as well as Mofussil Buses. In fact, from 2001 to 2014, he was permitted to travel in both the Town Buses and Mofussil Buses on payment of 25% of bus fare. On the basis of the Government Order, referred to above, the petitioner submitted an application, on 27.03.2014, with a request to renew his bus pass to travel in both the Town Buses and Mofussil Buses, for the year 2014 - 2015. Since no action has been taken, the petitioner has come forward to file the present Writ Petition.

4. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 would submit that the application of the petitioner will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed in accordance with law.

5. Considering the fact that the petitioner is a differently abled person, the fourth respondent is directed to consider the application of the petitioner dated 27.03.2014 and pass appropriate orders, taking into account the Government Order, referred to above, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. The Writ Petition is disposed of on the above terms. No costs.
