PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to direct respondent Nos.1 and 2 to shift the Petitioner's son, namely, Dori Mari, S/o.Muniyasamy, from the Central Prison, Madurai to any one private hospital for providing better medical treatment by considering the petitioner's representation dated 23.04.2022 within the time stipulated by this Court.

O RDER This petition has been filed seeking for a direction to respondent Nos.1 and 2 to shift the Petitioner's son, viz., Dori Mari, S/o.Muniyasamy, from the Central Prison, Madurai to any one private hospital for providing better medical treatment by considering the petitioner's representation dated 23.04.2022 within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner was arrested and remanded to judicial custody in Crime No.1403 of 2020 for the alleged offence punishable under the NDPS Act. He would further submit that the petitioner's leg was broken during the investigation. Thereby, the petitioner made a representation to the respondent Police on 23.04.2022 for providing better treatment and the same has not been considered, the present petition has been filed.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing on behalf of the respondent Police would submit that the investigation has been conducted in Crime No.1403 of 2022 and after 2/4

completing the investigation, the charge sheet has also been filed before the concerned Court and the case was ended in conviction and now, the petitioner is in prison.

4. In view of the above, this Court directs the Prison Authorities to give better treatment, if the petitioner needs any further medical treatment.

5. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
