ORDER

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and Mr.R.Anandaraj, learned Government Advocate, takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage.

2.The petitioner seeks for a Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the application filed by the petitioner in Form VI as per Rule 9(2) of Tamil Nadu Private Colleges (Regulation) Rules 1976 and to approve the appointment of Rev.Fr.Lucians Thomas as Secretary of St.Jude's College, Thoothor, Kanyakumari District. 3.It is seen that after change of secretaryship, the petitioner applied for approval of such change by filing Form VI before the first respondent, through the second respondent. The grievance of the petitioner is that though such application was submitted in the month of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

September 2014, till this date, the first respondent has not passed any order.

4.Needless to say that it is for the first respondent to consider and pass orders on the request made by the petitioner through Form VI. It is also made clear that while considering the request of the petitioner, the first respondent shall consider as to whether any other rival is claim made in respect of the secretaryship of the college. Therefore, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to consider the application made by the petitioner and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
