ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by N.ANAND VENKATESH,J.) This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus, to produce the body of the petitioner's father and to set him at liberty.
2. Heard Mr.R.Jothiraj, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.E.Antony Sahaya Prabahar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.
3. The case of the petitioner is that his father, who is aged about 88 years, went missing since 02.03.2025. Thereafter, a complaint was given before the respondent Police, based on which, a man missing FIR was registered in Crime No.58 of 2025. Since there was no progress in investigation, the present petition has been filed before this Court.
4. Taking into consideration of the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the grievances that has been expressed by the petitioner, there shall be a direction to the respondent to proceed further with the
investigation in the pending FIR in line with the guidelines issued by this Court in K.Sukumari vs. The Superintendent of Police, Virudhunagar District, Virudhunagar and others reported in [2018 2 LW Crl 636].
5. This Habeas Corpus Petition is disposed of with the above direction.
