ORDER

The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner's husband was Exserviceman, retired from the Indian Army and he was issued with Bmemo by the Revenue Authorities recognising his possession. The petitioner's husband passed away and thereafter, the petitioner continues to occupy the said property, in respect of which B-memo was also issued to her husband. The petitioner has made a representation and also issued a lawyer's notice on 17.02.2023 for assignment of patta in her favour and the petitioner only seeks for disposal of the said application.

2. However, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that there is a proposal to construct a ITI College in the said locality and therefore, the authorities would consider the petitioner's application on merits and pass orders. 2/4

In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of directing the fourth respondent to consider the petitioner's request for assignment of patta dated 17.02.2023 on merits and in accordance with law, considering all relevant factors and pass final orders, after affording an opportunity to the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
