The prayer sought for in this writ petition is for a writ of mandamus, directing the respondent to pay salary for having surrendered 60 days earned leave for encashment with 6% interest. 2.Heard M/s.D.Ramya, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.K.Sathyasingh, learned standing counsel appearing for the respondent.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that 60 days earned leave salary is yet to be paid by the respondent with 6% interest per annum. Therefore, the petitioner had given a representation dated 06.02.2018. However, no order so far has been passed and the same has not been disbursed, Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.

4.I have heard the learned standing counsel appearing for the respondent, who would submit that the said surrender leave salary for 60 days along with 6% interest from the date of due till the date of payment would be paid to the petitioner, within a period of two months.

counsel appearing for the respondent, this writ petition is disposed of with the following direction:

"The respondent is directed to disburse 60 days surrender leave salary of the petitioner along with 6% interest from the date of due till the date of payment, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."

6.With the above direction, these writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
