O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed by A.Sankaranarayanan, who is presently serving as Junior Assistant suffered a disciplinary proceedings with punishment of stoppage of increment for a period of one year without cumulative effect by order dated 07.11.2014 in https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

R.C.No.Ser 3(2)/9407/2014, passed by the Additional Chief Secretary and Commissioner of Revenue Administration, Chennai, preferred an appeal before the Secretary to Government, Revenue Department, Chennai.

2. By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for hearing at the stage of admission itself.

3.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate, who takes notice for the respondents.

4.Since the petitioner has got a fair chance before the appellate authority, direction may be given for early disposal. In this regard, the learned counsel for the petitioner sought for a limited direction to the appellate authority to consider the pending appeal on merits for early disposal.

5. Considering the limited prayer made by the petitioner, without going into the merits of the case, this Court directs the appellate authority viz., the Secretary to Government, Revenue Department, Chennai to consider the petitioner's appeal and pass orders on merit and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. .

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
