ORDER

This petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent not to harass the petitioners and their family on the guise of enquiry with respect to a false and frivolous complaint given by the parents of the 1st petitioner.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 and perused the materials placed on record.

3. When the case was taken up for hearing, it is submitted by the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) that on the complaint given by one Balakrishnan, F/o.Elavarasi, a petition enquiry has been conducted.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that Elavarasi has got married to Karthikeyan, the 2nd petitioner and it is an intercaste marriage. Under such circumstances, the petitioners are directed to appear before the Superintendent of Police, Sivagangai District and give a representation for police protection and on receipt of the representation, the same shall be enquired into and police protection can https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

be given in accordance with law in view of the law laid down in Latha Singh vs. State of U.P. Reported in AIR 2006 SC 2522.

5. With the above direction, this criminal original petition is closed.
