PRAYER: Contempt Petition filed under Section 11 of Contempt of Courts Act, to commit and punish the contemnors/Respondents for their willful disobedience of the order of this Court in W.P.(MD).No.19964 of 2022 dated 26.08.2022.

ORDER

Alleging wilful disobedience of the order passed by this Court dated 26.08.2022 in W.P.(MD)No.19964 of 2022, this Contempt Petition has been filed.

2. Claiming that the interest for the belated payment of retirement benefits has been paid, the learned counsel for the respondents submits that the order of the Writ Court has been complied with. However, the learned counsel for the petitioner disputes the total amount and claims for a higher amount.

3. In the order passed in the Writ Petition, the total amount, which is due to be paid, was not computed by me and therefore, it would not be appropriate to go into the disputed facts of the payment made. Since the interest for the 2/4

belated payment of retirement benefits is paid, the disobedience alleged cannot be termed to be wilful in nature.

4.
