ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent police in connection with Crime No.31 of 2023 for the offence under Sections 120(B), 420, 465, 468 and 506(i) of IPC, has filed this petition seeking anticipatory bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner is a retired Police Officer. The 1/3

petitioner approached the defacto complainant and made an assurance to get a post of membership in the Railway Board through A4 since A4 is working in Delhi and he is an influential person in the Railway Board. Believing the same, the defacto complainant gave a sum of Rs.15,00,000/- to the petitioner. Thereafter, the petitioner neither repaid the amount nor secured the job. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is an innocent and he has been falsely implicated in this case. 4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that investigation is yet to be completed. Hence, he opposes the grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 5.Considering the nature of offence and the petitioner's position, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Hence, this petition is dismissed.
