Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to pay family pension to the petitioner under Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporations Employee Pension Fund Scheme, with arrears from July, 2014 together with 18% interest.

3. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents would fairly bring it to the notice of this Court
about the passing of G.O.493, Transport (E) Department, dated 13.12.2017, enabling payment of family pension even though the recipient may receive the military pension also. In view of the aforesaid Government Order, the writ petition deserves to be allowed.
4. This Writ petition is accordingly allowed, in terms of the aforesaid Government order. The respondents shall disburse the pensionary benefits to the writ petitioner within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Consequently, M.P. (MD).
