This petition has been filed for a direction to the respondent police to complete the investigation and file charge sheet in Crime No.55 of 2011 on the file of the respondent police within stipulated time fixed by this Court.
2. When the matter came up for hearing on 30.03.2016, Mr.Rajpaul, Inspector of Police, DCB, Nagercoil filed an affidavit dated 29.03.2016, wherein in Paragraph No.11, he has stated as follows: "11.After arrest of A2 M.S.K.Thandapani, and getting his finger print and compare the above mentioned finger prints by sending the same to the Finger Print Expert. I humbly submitted that of the getting the opinion of the finger Print Expert, I will file a final report as early as possible."
3. Thereafter, sensing that the police will arrest MSK.Thandapani @ Thangaraj(A2), A2 has approached this Court in Crl.O.P.(MD) No.5724 of 2016 and this Court granted anticipatory bail on 04.04.2016 on condition that he should appear before the respondent police, everyday at 6.30 p.m.
4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), on instructions from the respondent police who is present here, submitted that A2 appeared before the Investigating Officer and thumb impression has been obtained and the same has been sent with the disputed thumb impression for Expert opinion.

5. Under such circumstances, since it is a case of the year 2011, this Court directs the respondent police to complete the investigation
and file a final report within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
