This criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to give police protection to the petitioner and his family members life and limb. 2.Today, when the petition is came up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 and 2, on instructions, would submit that the complaint of the petitioner dated 01.07.2020 has been received by the second respondent and based on which, an enquiry has been initiated in C.S.R.No.120/2020. He would further submit that during the time of enquiry, both the petitioners undertook to vacate the salt pan. Hence, the enquiry initiated in C.S.R.No.120/2020 has been closed. 3.The submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor is recorded.

Crl.O.P.(MD)No.7919 of 2020 4.At this juncture, the learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that the alleged statement given by the petitioners was obtained by the third respondent with help of the respondent police. 5.In view of the above, since there is no petition enquiry pending with the second respondent, it is not appropriate to give direction for giving police protection to the petitioner. 6.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
