PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records relating to the impugned Government order issued by the 1st respondent vide G.O.(Ms).No.252 School Education (Q) Department dated 05.10.2012 and the consequential order issued by the first respondent vide his proceedings G.O.(Ms).71, dated 30.05.2014 School Education (TRB) Department and quash the same as illegal and consequently to direct the respondents to recruit the Secondary Grade Teachers on the basis of the marks obtained in the Teachers Eligibility Test and employment seniority.

2.The validity of G.O.(Ms).No.252 School Education (Q) Department dated 05.10.2012 was quashed by the learned Single Judge. Pursuant to that order, the Government issued a modified G.O.(Ms).No.71, School Education (TRB) Department dated 30.05.2014 School Education (TRB) Department, which was upheld by the Hon'ble Division Bench of the High Court of Madras in W.A.No.1031 of 2014 dated 22.09.2014. It was further upheld by the Hon'ble Apex Court in the case of V.Lavanya and others Vs. the State of Tamil Nadu and others in Civil Appeal No.10700 of 2016 dated 09.11.2016. Therefore, the writ petitions challenging the correctness of G.O. (Ms).No.252 School Education (Q) Department dated 05.10.2012, are liable to be dismissed.
