Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to revise the pay scale of the petitioners in the cadre of Shift Engineers with effect from 01.01.2006 in accordance with the G.O.MS.No.234 dated 01.06.2009, within the time stipulated by this Court. ORDER

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and Mr.S.Kumar, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents 1 and 2 and Mr.D.Mayarajan, learned counsel takes notice for the respondents 3 and 4. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage.

2.The petitioners seek for a Mandamus directing the respondents to revise their pay scale in the cadre of Shift Engineers with effect from 01.01.2006 in accordance with G.O.MS.No.234, dated 01.06.2009. 3.Whether the petitioners are entitled to such relief or not is for the respondents more particularly, the first respondent to consider and decide and therefore, this Court at this stage, is not expressing any view on the claim made by the petitioners.

4.It is seen that the petitioners have already made representations to the first respondent on 14.11.2014 seeking for the very same benefit.

5.Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to consider the said representation and pass appropriate orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
