ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the second respondent to provide police protection to the petitioners and the second petitioner's family members, based on the representation dated 21.06.2019.
2.The grievance of the petitioners is that the first petitioner married the second petitioner against the wishes of the first petitioner's parents. The parents of the first petitioner gave a complaint alleging that the first petitioner was kidnapped by the second petitioner. Since the petitioners got married https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
against the wishes of the parents, they apprehended life threat from the parents of the first petitioner and hence, they made a representation dated 21.06.2019 to the second respondent seeking police protection. However, no action was taken by the second respondent and hence, the petitioners filed the present petition seeking the aforesaid relief.
3.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 and 2, on instructions, would submit that the first petitioner already left the second petitioner and live with her parents and that the complaints given by the petitioners as well as the parents of the first petitioner have also been closed as "Action Dropped". 4.In view of the above submission, no further adjudication is required in this Criminal Original Petition. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
