********* [Order of the Court was made by S.VIMALA, J] The petitioner, who is the wife of the detenu, has moved this petition for a direction to the Respondent Nos.1 to 3 to produce her husband, namely, Palaniyandi, aged about 80 years, before this Court.

is stated that the wife/petitioner was living separately at Seplapatt, Neithaloor Colony, Kulithalai Taluk, Karur District for the past 15 years. It is also stated that the detenu was an employee of the Southern Railway, Ponmalai Depot, Trichy and that he never visited the petitioner, but he used to visit his brother's house and his daughter's house.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State by filing a status report would submit that all sincere efforts have been taken to find out the whereabouts of the detenu.

4.Under such circumstances, the Habeas Corpus Petition is closed with a direction to the respondents to inform the petitioner regarding the status, stage of enquiry as well as the whereabouts of the detenu, as ascertained during investigation.
