PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of mandamus directing the second respondent to accept the application submitted by petitioner dated 29.08.2024 and issue transfer order on mutual basis within the time fixed by this Court.

Mr.B.Ramanathan, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents.
2. With the consent of both sides, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage.
3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
4. This writ petition has been filed seeking a writ of mandamus directing the second respondent to accept the application dated 29.08.2024 submitted by the petitioner and issue transfer order to her on mutual basis within the time limit fixed by this Court.
5. The petitioner herein was appointed as Data Entry Assistant / Receptionist on compassionate grounds in Virudhunagar District, though her native happens to be Chennai and she has been working in Virudhunagar District since the year 2022. In view of various family problems and health issues, the petitioner appears to have been pursuing for her transfer to Chennai District since the year 2022 and according to the learned counsel for the petitioner one Janakinathan, who is also working as Data Entry Assistant / Receptionist in Thirumullaivoyal Police Station under the third respondent's Range, is willing to get transfer to Virudhunagar District and thus, the petitioner and the said Janakinathan are willing for mutual transfer in between Virudhunagar and Chennai Districts.
Hence, the petitioner claims to have submitted a representation dated 29.08.2024 to the respondents 1 & 2 seeking transfer to Chennai District on mutual basis.

Mr.B.Ramanathan, learned Additional Government Pleader, appearing for the respondents submitted that the case of the petitioner is under consideration and no orders can be passed at this stage due to the Election Code, which has come into force recently and the petitioner's case would be considered as soon as the Election Code comes to an end.
7. In view of the above submission, this writ petition is disposed of directing the second respondent to consider the case of the petitioner in the light of her representation dated 29.08.2024 duly taking into consideration the fact that her request is for mutual transfer and pass appropriate orders thereon, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate not later than 31.05.2026. No costs.
