PRAYER :- To permit the petitioners to withdraw the amount a sum of Rs.90,000/-with any accrued interest if any which was deposited by them on 31.07.2006 before the Judicial Magistrate Court-II, Didigul in C.C.NO.16 OF 2010 in Crime No.426 of 2006.

ORDER

A case in Crime No. 426 of 2006 was registered against the petitioners. Subsequently, a charge sheet was filed, and the case was renumbered as C.C. No. 6 of 2010. Thereafter, the petitioners compounded the offences, and the same was recorded by order dated 20.09.2023.

2. Further, while granting anticipatory bail to the petitioners, this Court directed them to deposit a sum of Rs. 90,000/- before the Judicial Magistrate Court-II, Dindigul, and the said direction was duly complied with by the petitioners.

3. Since the petitioners have been acquitted of the charges vide order dated 20.09.2023, the amount deposited by them ought to be returned.

4. Accordingly, this petition is allowed and the petitioners are permitted to withdraw the same along with the interest. (S S Y J) 27.10.2025 KSA To
