PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., to issue a direction to the respondents to accelerate the investigation of Crime No.48 of 2014 pending on the file of the 2nd respondent and to file a final report within a time that may be stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

This petition has been filed to issue a direction to the respondents to accelerate the investigation of Crime No.48 of 2014 pending on the file of the 2nd respondent and to file a final report within a time that may be stipulated by this Court.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that even though the case was registered in Crime No.48 of 2014, investigation has not yet been completed. Hence, he filed the present Criminal Original Petition.

3. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police, on instructions, submitted that the respondent police has commenced the investigation and he will complete the investigation and file final report, within a period of one month before the concerned Jurisdictional Court.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the second respondent police is directed to complete the investigation and file final report, within a period of one month, from the date of receipt of copy of the order.

5. With the above observations, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
