O R D E R

The petitioner has filed this petition for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 19.03.2024 to grant permission to conduct the Siru Thondar Drama on 16.04.2024, 22.04.2024 and 23.04.2024.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that two groups are seeking permission for conducting the function on the same day. A case and counter have also been registered in Crime Nos.150 and 151 of 2024 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Thottiyam Police Station, Trichy District and therefore, permission has not been granted.

3. Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Writ Petition is dismissed with liberty to the petitioner to do some other service to the villagers by providing books or any other things, if so interested.
