ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to provide employment to the petitioner on compassionate ground, by considering his representations, dated 25.08.2011 and 13.07.2015.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing for the respondents. 3.The case of the petitioner is that his father, who was working as a Conductor in the respondent Corporation, was suspended from service and thereafter, reinstated in service on 07.05.2011 and while in service, he passed away. Therefore, seeking compassionate appointment, the petitioner sent a representation to the respondents on 25.08.2011 followed by reminder dated 13.07.2015. Since the same have not been considered by the respondents so far, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition.

4.The learned counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the representation of the petitioner would be considered on merits.

5.In such view of the matter, this Court, without going into the merits of the petitioner's claim, directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 25.08.2011 followed by reminder dated 13.07.2015 seeking for compassionate appointment and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
