For Respondent : Mr.S.Ravi, Additional Public Prosecutor PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Sec.438 of Cr.P.C PRAYER :- For Anticipatory Bail in Crime No.197/2021 on the file of the Respondent police.

ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Section 379 of IPC in Crime No.197 of 2021, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that on 07.04.2021, at about 11.30 pm, the defacto complainant saw some unknown persons stealing his five goats, which were tied up in his house shed. Hence, the complaint.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the date of occurrence is said to be 07.04.2021 and the complaint has been lodged only on 11.04.2021. He would further submit that the petitioner is no way connected with the alleged offence and he is falsely implicated in the present case.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondent police submits that based upon the confession statement of the first accused in the said crime number, this petitioner is arrayed as an accused in this case. Apart from this, the petitioner is also involved in six similar cases.

5. Considering the antecedents of the petitioner, the discretionary relief of anticipatory bail cannot be granted to him.
