Respondents PRAYER: This petition is preferred under Section 482 Cr.P.C., to direct the respondent No.2 not to harass the petitioners by interfering in the family dispute of the son the petitioners and to direct the respondent No.2 to follow guidelines issued by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in D.K.Basu 1997 1 SCC 416 case in matters pertaining to arrest or interrogation.

O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the respondent No. 2 not to harass the petitioners under the guise of enquiry .

2. Heard the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents and perused the materials placed on record.

3. It is represented by the learned Government Advocate that, on the complaint lodged by Poongathi, against the petitioner's son, petition enquiry is pending.

4. The petitioners are directed to participate in the enquiry and during enquiry, they shall not be harassed. During the course of enquiry, if any cognizable offence is made out, the respondent Police is free to register an FIR and this order shall not be a shield for the petitioners against arrest.
