ORDER

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. 2.The petitioner wants the respondents to receive tax for the land comprised in survey No.13/1B situated in Thaniyamangalam Village, Melur Taluk, Madurai.

3.The petitioner states that he is in possession and enjoyment of the above said land and cultivating the same. But the revenue records are presently not standing in the name of the petitioner. When the revenue records are not standing in the name of the petitioner, the respondents cannot be directed to collect tax for the same. Therefore, the petitioner has to necessarily establish his claim only before the Jurisdiction Civil Court. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.(MD)No.8246 of 2020 4.Therefore, leaving open the petitioner's rights, this writ petition is dismissed. I make it clear that petitioner's rights are left open. No costs.
