Respondents/Respondents Prayer :- Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P,C., to direct the Special Judge Cum Chief Judicial Magistrate, Thanjavur at Kumbakonam to expedite the trial pending in Special Case No.57/2014 and to complete the trial within a stipulated time fixed by this Court.

ORDER:- This Criminal Original Petition coming on for orders on this day and upon perusing the earlier order of this Court dt.28.04.2022 and the requisition letter in D.No.02 of 2023 dated 02.01.2023 submitted by the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Thanjavur at Kumbakonam, this Court made the following order: This case has been listed today under the caption 'for extension of time' to dispose of the case in Special Case No.57 of 2014.

2.By the order dated 28.04.2022, this Court directed the learned Special Judge cum Chief Judicial Magistrate, Thanjavur at Kumbakonam, to dispose of the case in Special Case No.57 of 2014, pending on his file, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of that order. Now, the learned Special Judge, seeks further time to complete the trial process.

3.Considering the reasons assigned by the learned Special Judge, this Court is inclined to grant further time and accordingly, six months time is granted. The learned Special Judge, is directed https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
