O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by K.KALYANASUNDARAM, J.] The petitioner has filed this habeas corpus petition seeking direction to the respondents 1 & 2 to produce her son, namely, V.Dhanush, aged about 17 years, before this Court and set him at liberty.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the detenu V.Dhanush is her elder son and on 22.04.2020 except the detenu, other members of the family had gone to attend a wedding function and when they returned in the afternoon on the same day, the detenu was found missing. In this regard, a complaint was given on 24.04.2021 and the same was registered in Cr.No.212 of 2021 as 'Boy Missing', but no effective steps were taken to secure the detenu and hence, the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

H.C.P.(MD) No.699 of 2021 present habeas corpus petition has been filed.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the petitioner as well as the detenu appeared before this Court through Video Conferencing from the Public Prosecutor Office. On enquiry, the petitioner would state that the detenu has returned to home on 13.05.2021 and now he is living with the petitioner.

4. In the light of the above statement of the petitioner, nothing survives for consideration in this habeas corpus petition and hence, the same is closed.
