ORDER

The present petition has been filed by the accused Nos.1 & 2 in Crime No.285 of 2017 on the file of the first respondent police seeking to quash the FIR, wherein they are alleged to have committed offences punishable under Sections 379 of PPC and Section 21(5) & 23 of Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act.

2. This Court by an order dated 27.03.2026 has granted interim stay.

3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the first respondent brought to the notice of this Court that the charge sheet was laid as early as 25.03.2026 under Section 511 IPC, and the same has been taken on file in C.C. No.140 of 2026 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Virudhunagar.

4. In view of the subsequent developments that have taken place during the pendency of this Criminal Original Petition, the petition stands closed, with liberty to the petitioners to challenge the final report in accordance with law, if they are so advised. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
