O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a limited prayer. The petitioner seeks for early disposal of his statutory appeal pending on the file of the District Collector seeking for enhanced compensation.

2.No prejudice will be caused to the respondent, if a direction is issued to the respondent to dispose of the petitioner's statutory appeal within a time frame to be fixed by this Court after affording a fair hearing to the petitioner.

3.For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the respondent to pass final orders on the petitioner's appeal, dated 03.01.2008 in respect of the property comprised in Survey No.33/2 an extent of 3550 square meters in Ilanthaikulam Village, Now Madurai East Taluk, Madurai North Taluk, Madurai District within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after affording a fair hearing to the petitioner including granting him the right of personal hearing.

4.With the aforesaid directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
