O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondents to grant electricity service connection based on the petitioner's representation, dated 12.02.2021 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2.The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that since the necessary charges were not paid along with the application within the stipulated time, the application submitted by the petitioner seeking for electricity service connection has now been closed. He would further submit that the petitioner will have to submit a fresh application and he will have to provide all the relevant documents sought for by the respondents and he will also have to pay the necessary charges. 3.The learned Counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, would submit that the petitioner is willing to submit a fresh application and ready to comply with the requirements of the respondents and also ready to pay the necessary charges. The said statement is recorded.

W.P.(MD)No.8345 of 2022 4.After recording the statements made by the learned respective Counsels, this Court directs the petitioner to submit a fresh application through online with the respondents seeking for electricity service connection to Sri Mahamuneeswarar Thirukovil situated at MC-3, Maruthagulam, S.S.Viswanathadoss Nagar, Maruthuvar Nagar, Madurai within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the said application and on receipt of the necessary charges and the required documents, the third respondent shall pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law after affording a fair hearing to the petitioner including granting him the right of personal hearing within a period of eight weeks thereafter.

5.With the aforesaid directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
