O R D E R

The petitioner seeks for issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider petitioner's last representation dated 18.06.2018 sent for the purpose of reclassification and to issue patta for petitioner's house site situated in Survey No.72/1025, Sathiram Street, Ward No.1, Shop No.4 Back side, Thondi, Thiruvadanai Taluk, Ramanathapuram District within stipulated time as that may fixed by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 4 and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the fifth respondent.

3.The petitioner made a representation to the fourth respondent on 07.04.2016 for issuance of patta on the basis of enjoyment. Later, he modified his request to re-classify his land and issue patta by considering his representation dated 19.02.2018.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the second and fourth respondents are directed to consider the request of the petitioner in the light of the statutory provisions as to whether the request of the petitioner to re-classify the land is maintainable and to take a decision either to accept or reject and pass orders within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
