ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondents 1 to 4 to take appropriate action against the 5th respondent by conducting Peace Committee Meeting with the people belonging to Perumpallam, Vadakavunji Village, Kodaikanal with regard to the "Avani Festival" based on the representation dated 25.04.2022 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 2.The petitioner seeks for convening of a peace committee meeting by the official respondents. According to him, the opposite 1/3
party is attempting to conduct "Avani Festival" without including the village people. The petitioner has given a representation to the official respondents on 25.04.2022 requesting them to convene a peace committee meeting. Since the representation has not been considered till date, the petitioner has filed this writ petition. 3.Heard Mr.N.Mohan, learned Counsel for the writ petitioner and Mr.B.Saravanan, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 4.
4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the official respondents, on instructions, would submit that based on the representation given by the petitioner, a peace committee meeting is scheduled to be convened by the third respondent on 04.05.2022. He has placed before this Court a communication received by him from the third respondent. The same is recorded. 5.Since the peace committee meeting is scheduled to be convened on 04.05.2022, the prayer sought in the petitioner's representation dated 25.04.2022 has already been achieved. However, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that till the peace committee meeting is held, the private respondent, namely, the fifth respondent or his associates shall not conduct temple festival on their own.
6.No prejudice would be caused to any of the parties, if such a direction is issued by this Court.
7.After recording the submissions made by the learned Additional Government Pleader that the peace committee meeting is scheduled to be taken place on 04.05.2022, this writ petition is disposed of. However, an interim direction is issued that till peace committee meeting is held on 04.05.2022, the fifth respondent shall not be permitted to conduct any temple festival. 8.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
