O R D E R

This criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to direct the second respondent not to harass the petitioner and his family members based on the complaint given by the third respondent.

2.Today, when the petition is came up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first and second respondents would submit that on receipt of the complaint, the second respondent police conducted an enquiry and registered a case against the petitioner in crime No.12 of 2020 for the offence punishable under Section 498(A) IPC and Section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, dated 24.07.2020.

3.In such circumstances, once a regular FIR is registered, question of 'not to harass' will not arise. If any direction is given in favour of the petitioner at this stage, it will amount to https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Crl.O.P.(MD)No.7972 of 2020 interference with the investigation conducted by the second respondent police. Hence, this criminal original petition is dismissed.
